- Gold finger: Exposed metal pads on the edge of a board, generally used to connect two circuit boards, such as memory modules and old game cards. Its materials/processes include hard gold, electroplated alloy, soft gold, and electroplated pure gold.
- Annular ring: The copper ring around a metalized hole on a PCB.
- Through hole: A hole that goes through the entire circuit board, which can be used to realize internal interconnection or as a component mounting hole.
- Locating hole: Low in cost and easy to implement.
- Blind hole: A hole located on the top and bottom surfaces of a printed circuit board, connecting the surface circuit to the inner layer circuit below with a certain depth; the depth of the hole usually does not exceed a certain proportion of the hole diameter.
- Buried hole: A connecting hole in the inner layer of a printed circuit board that does not extend to the board's surface.
- Stamp hole: A board separation design method: using a number of continuous holes to form a weak connection point, so as to separate the board from the panel.
